Oakman Inns voted Pub Company of the Year 2013

Organised by Restaurant magazine, the R200 Awards recognise both large and small multiple operators who are doing well within their sector.

First launched in 2008, R200 is the networking partnership of the top 200 restaurant group operators in the UK, based on the number of sites they own. This exclusive club of operators consistently develops unique restaurants with a strong quality-led ethos, and the R200 programme focuses on those who have made a success of running a profitable restaurant business.

To compete, a shortlist for each category is drawn up by Restaurant magazine before members of the R200 vote for their winners. Members are not allowed to vote for their own business.

Our CEO, Peter Borg-Neal, said: “This is a huge honour and very unexpected. The fact that it has been voted for by one’s peers – even competitors - means so much to me and all my team. I wish I had 250 copies of the award to give each of them their own trophy to thank them for the time and effort that they put in to creating our unique style of hospitality and the welcome we genuinely give all our guests. We are a relatively young company that is evolving and growing and being voted Pub Company of the Year will spur us on in 2014.”
