The Journeyman in Gerrards Cross named Best New Site at the Publican Awards. The awards, which are the biggest event in the hospitality industry calendar, saw hundreds of businesses compete to be named the best across a range of categories, from best employer to best drinks offer.

For the last few months, passers-by and shoppers in Watford’s town centre will have witnessed a brand-new pub taking shape in a large corner site on the High Street, adjacent to the entrance to the popular Atria Shopping Centre. With its garlanded oak beams, sheepskin rugs, cosy fires, and restaurant in a converted 18th century barn, it’s just undergone a kitchen refit which will now allow their chefs to prepare and serve a delicious new array of dishes, supported by an exciting seasonal menu using local and indigenous ingredients.

A famous Grade II Listed pub dating back to the 19th century reopens in Wokingham on Monday 18th October, creating 30 new jobs in the process. The Rose Inn is owned by The Oakman Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing pub companies, which owns 36 premium pubs, restaurants and hotels across England, including The Royal Foresters, in nearby Ascot.
